Collaborations

Collaborations allow us to accomplish more research with fewer resources. Some of our collaborations have broad goals to understand autism and neurodevelopment over time, while others may have much more specific goals.

Bay Area Autism Consortium (BAAC)

The Bay Area Autism Consortium (BAAC) is a clinical research coalition of providers and investigators from many Bay Area autism programs, including: UCSF, Stanford, Kaiser, the Department of Public Health, and the Children's Health Council. This interdisciplinary group is forming to contribute to excellence of autism related care and discovery in the Bay Area.

  • Accurate and complete diagnosis including genetic, neurological, psychiatric, developmental pediatrics, and psychological evaluations for each family
  • Education, behavior, pharmacologic and nutrition-based treatments discussed and, when appropriate, implemented

The UCSF Pediatric Brain Center’s Sensory Neurodevelopment and Autism Program is a multidisciplinary team of neurologists, psychiatrists, psychologists, geneticists, pediatricians, neuroscientists, research coordinators, technologists and administrators at the University of California, San Francisco. We strive to find the causes of autism – and the most effective treatments.
